June 2023 my good friend Glen Farr and I decided to drive to the Arctic Ocean. Glen left his home in his custom built Mercedes Sprinter van in Ventura California and met me at our home in Ennis Montana. With the blessings from our respective wives we ventured north to the only road that you can drive directly to the Arctic Ocean in North America. Technically you can drive to the Arctic Ocean in Alaska at Prudhoe Bay but that is by reservation and with a ‘company’ shuttle, so you can’t go at your own free will like we did. The drive is really long, has some considerable risk and is hundreds of miles of really bad roads. Below is a photo collection of our journey.
